Words to Standing on Faith Alone

Standing on Faith Alone Copyright@2005 Written and Composed by Carolyn Huffman Harris. All rights reserved. I was watching the news the announcer came on Said the wind and rain is took many homes From roof tops I could hear the people cry The boats and planes were searching the ground Looking for anyone to be found And I Prayed Dear God please send your mercy down Troubling times that test your faith Tragedy that we all must face Holding on when all hope is gone Trusting God when you=re all alone Praying for those that you’ve never know Now you’re standing on faith alone And my heart became heavy I began to weep Hearing about children dying in the street Someone was saying that everything is gone They ask a mother did you lose your home How on earth will you go on? She said I’m standing by faith alone. This song was written about Hurricanes Katrina and Rita which destroyed most of New Orleans and surrounding areas in the fall of 2005. Writer By Carolyn H. Harris- Copyright@2005, All rights reserved.
